Dear Osteria Papazzo friends, after 10 years as an authentic Italian Pop Up restaurant, from Byron to Sydney and Beyond, We have finally found our permanent home here at 179 King St, Newcastle as of 4th November 2025 :)
Osteria Papazzo is like the extension of our kitchen and dining room and we feel so honoured to host you at our Intimate dining experiences. Our work is a beautiful artisanal work, made only for our clients, so on a very small scale. We source only fresh, local, seasonal produce & organic if possible, supporting small family businesses like ours.

We bring lots of respect to the food we source, grow and cook, lots of respect to our suppliers here in NSW and to the team we work with, and last but not least to You, who join our tables.
​We make everything from scratch, with our hands, no machines: fresh handcrafted pasta, sourdoughs with our own leaven (lievito madre), breads, focaccias, cakes, sauces, jams, pickles, pizza… Slow prepping, slow handcrafting, slow cooking, Slow Food.
We only use sustainable organic Australian flours for our creations, extra virgin olive oil for our dishes and only peanut oil for deep frying our pizzas in traditional pots (not deep fryers ;). We do not use any sweetener or added refined sugar unless it is already naturally present in some of the produce we use or it is necessary for some of our dessert recipes. We activate everything so our dishes are more gentle to your health. The meat we source is all gluten free and our food is prepared in a kitchen where gluten, dairy, nuts or other food allergens are used, so please let us know if you have any dietary requirement or any particular allergy when you reserve a table with us.

As we create everything from scratch and source organic, fresh, seasonal and local our prices may vary week by week and day by day as I design a different menu day by day.

Brunch & Lunch prices vary between 14$ - 35$

​We offer a small simple menu and we change it daily and weekly though we keep some of our signature dishes on and we make sure everyone has catered for. Our Menus cover meat, vegetarian, vegan and gf dishes. Everyone is very welcome to dine with us, either you are alone or with your family and friends. :) and if it is not raining you can even dine with us outside and bring your pets :) Here at Osteria Papazzo, we celebrate my Neapolitan and Italian roots, through Australian produce in a more healthy way compared to my ancestors :)and we celebrate artisanality, all the beautiful flavours and dishes I have been creating and developed in the past 30 years and the Art of Hand made work.
